T.Family LAPLANDer

This Beauty is called “T.Family LAPLANDer”.

I have always liked the sound of Lap steel and Pedal steel guitars. Early on 2022 I came across the idea of making my own version of this type of instrument still relating to my own T.Family collection. I started finding parts all over the internet and found replica gear for Fender Stringmaster and took that as a guide line to my design. In a way the headstock with metal “ashtrey” just looked cool to me. And also the simple aluminium fretboard fits very well to my “Tools for Rock´n´Roll” -idea I run all the way.

The next level for this instrument appears by the bridge and saddle parts by Certano. Palm benders for G & B string allows to create pedal steel type or chords and melodies. They can be adjusted to work many ways but typical idea is to have half or whole note up when pushed down. They work smooth and don’t harm the strings. RRB1 bridge and Roller nut both has high quality bearings for very smooth and stable tuning and GREAT sustain.
